On October 20, 2023, a meeting of the scientific circle «Actual issues of private law» (the head of the scientific group O.M. Koval). The topic of the meeting: «The right to be forgotten on the Internet: an analysis of the legal aspects of removing personal information from online resources, the balance between the right to privacy and the right to information».

The participants presented the results of the analysis of the situation with the right to be forgotten in different regions. A few important court cases that have shaped enforcement in the right to be forgotten were discussed, including decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and higher national courts. As part of the meeting, various options for improving the legislative framework were proposed, regarding the criteria for removing information, procedures for considering applications, and the role of Internet platforms in this process.
