On October 17, 2023, first-year students of the Faculty of Management and Business Design majors 073 "Management" and 281 "Public Management and Administration" with curator Svitlana Bondarenko honored the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The рatriotic event took place on Mykhailivska Square in the city of Kyiv near the wall of memory of volunteers, servicemen and representatives of the Ukrainian security forces who died for Ukraine. They died defending Ukraine during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The wall of memory of fallen defenders in the Russian-Ukrainian war is located on the walls of the Mykhailivskyi Zolotoverkhi Monastery. On it are photos with short biographies of fallen soldiers since 2014. During almost 10 years of war, many brave sons and daughters of Ukraine died as a result of military operations. Students bowed their heads low and placed flowers as a sign of gratitude and respect to all those who gave their lives for the future of Ukraine and who defended their country with weapons in their hands.
Students also visited the exhibition of Russian military equipment, which was destroyed and captured during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022-2023, on Mykhailivska Square. The exhibition presents tanks, remnants of missiles, enemy drones, armored cars, because of which Ukrainians suffered many disasters.
The wall of memory of those who died for Ukraine and the exhibition of destroyed military equipment are a reminder to everyone in Ukraine and the world that the war is still ongoing, difficult battles are taking place on the territory of the country, and every day of freedom of the Ukrainian people is paid for with the blood of its defenders. Achievements at the front and the liberation of our territories depend on the help of the rear. Every Ukrainian must do everything in their power to win this war. The post-war recovery of Ukraine depends to a decisive extent on the youth. It is today's students who will build the new economy of Ukraine, and must make it stronger and more stable than the pre-war one. The financing of the military-industrial complex, the country's defense capability, and, as a result, the prevention of wars in the future depend decisively on the state of the national economy and the competence of managers.
