Practical training of future teachers of professional education is a component of professional training. It gives the opportunity to those who have a second (master’s) level of higher education to apply knowledge and skills in special and psychological pedagogical disciplines in practice in the conditions of a professional educational institution, consolidate and improve them, understand multifacetedness and responsibility activities of the teacher.
During practice, future teachers of professional education have the opportunity to get acquainted with the educational institution, its educational materials base, documentation that regulates the process of training garment workers profile; analyze methodical and educational work carried out in educational institutions; independently develop and conduct educational classes and training activities; attend and analyze teachers’ classes and educational activities of the college; collect the necessary materials for completing the master’s thesis (project).
Bases for pre-diploma practice of students of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design are communal institutions of professional (vocational and technical) education – Kyiv Vocational College of Art and Service Technologies and Professional College of Fashion Technologies and Design.
October 12, 2023, during pre-diploma practice for future students of professional education, the teachers held open classes followed by detailed analysis and discussion. Lessons of the course "Visualization" on the topics “Line and Shape Tool” and “Blending Straight and Curved Lines” for future tailors and tailors at Kyiv Vocational College of Art and Service Technologies was conducted by a student of Group MgZPT-22 Valentina Paukova.
Future tailors acquired practical skills and work skills in "Xara Designer Pro 7" program. The student showed a high level of knowledge of subject and methods of professional training, possession of information-communication technologies. After the lessons, the head of practice Mariia Bilianska, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Head of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design, teacher at Vira College Saliy, students of Group MgZPT-22 Maria Popova and Iryna Romanyuk conducted their detailed analysis and discussion.
On October 5, 2023, applicants of the second (master's) level of higher education in specialties 015 Professional Education (by specializations) of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design, Group MgZPT-22, under the leadership of Mariia Bilianska and masters of industrial training Nela Balandina, Svitlana Dubrovskaya, Tetyana Nikolnikova, Nataliya Randyuk had the opportunity to observe, discuss, and analyze the classes of students Iryna Romaniuk and Maria Popova.
A special feature of Iryna Romanyuk's class on the topic "Techniques of the 1st-type modeling: moving the breast fold from fabric to a strip" from the academic discipline "Technical Modeling" was its mixed form. During the lesson, the student successfully combined various methods and techniques – explanation, demonstration of the presentation, use of a schematic drawing on the board, illustrating the sequence of making a drawing.
In the course of the lesson on the topic "Automatic and semi-automatic cutting machines complexes" from the discipline "Sewing production equipment" Maria Popova managed to successfully apply motivation to study and game moments, to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills of students, acquired under time of practical work related to the use of modern equipment.
During pre-diploma practice, students demonstrate a high level of theoretical knowledge and practical training, the ability to possess information technologies and use interactive learning methods.
