On October 24 and 26, 2023, extremely pleasant and useful meetings were held at the Department of Fashion Art and Design. The organizers of the meeting were teachers and graduates of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, experienced fashion design specialists, who took their students on a study tour.

Halyna Kokorina, associate professor of the Department, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and Iryna Davydenko, associate professor of the Department, showed young designers creative works of students of the Department, introduced them to teaching methods, and told about famous graduates of the Department.

The guests were Victoria Kovalchuk and Olena Mukovnina, graduates of the Department.

Victoria Kovalchuk graduated from the University in 1999; she worked at the fashion house "Serhiy Bizov" and at the company "Rito". Today, she is the head of the Lotus Creative Studio, in which 12 teachers work with children and teenagers, preparing them for future careers in artistic creativity and design. Olena Mukovnina, a 2003 graduate, a member of the Association of Young Designers of Ukraine, a participant in many international competitions, today she teaches fashion design at the School of Design for Children and Teenagers «FAVARELI».

With interest, the guests inspected the University’s exhibition grounds, classrooms, looked at and tried on samples of historical costumes created by students of the Department of Art and Costume Design. The girls, high school students, found out the specifics of the requirements for entrants to the Faculty of Design. The meeting ended with an agreement on further cooperation, joint participation in creative and competitive projects.
