On November 23, 2023, an important event in the world of science and technology was successfully held at the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design on the basis of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies: VII International Scientific and Practical Conference "MSIE-2023" entitled Mechatronic Systems: Innovations and Engineering.
The event, aiming to discuss current topics in the field of mechatronics, gathered almost 200 participants from 7 countries of the world, including Great Britain, USA, Poland, Azerbaijan, Turkey. The organizers of the conference were the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which ensured the high level of the event and prepared a rich program with interesting reports and discussion panels. Such institutions of higher education from Ukraine as "Krok" University, "Odesa Polytechnic" State University, Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy, Khmelnytskyi National University, Kyiv University named after Boris Grinchenko joined the event. The key topics of the conference were intelligent software systems that reflect the latest trends in the development of mechatronics.

The participants of the conference, which was held in a mixed format, represented various fields from science to industry. They exchanged their research and ideas, expressed new approaches and developments in the field of mechatronics.
On behalf of the rector of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design Ivan Hryshchenko, doctor of economics, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, the conference was opened by Volodymyr Statsenko, vice-rector for digital transformation, professor, doctor of technical sciences.
The moderator of the conference, Volodymyr Pavlenko, Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, started the work of the conference.
Shahin Vagif-ogly BAYRAMOV - rector of Mingachevir State University, Azerbaijan, James RICHARDSON - director of the global development and partnership department of Sheffield Hallam University, Great Britain, Yevhenii Evgeniyovich UDOVYCHENKO - manager of the IT Academy of the SoftServe company, Roman Mikhalko - Director of LLC "Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Certification" Chief Auditor of the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine " and other specialists spoke with a welcome speech.
The conference included presentations by Vyacheslav Osadchy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Kyiv University named after Boris Grinchenko on the topic "Possibilities and risks of generative of artificial intelligence in education", Ilya BACHURIN, co-founder Product IT Foundation for education, social psychologist, training methodologist and trainer for more than 50 companies in Ukraine and the world, on the topic "Teaching creativity in the era of AI", Oleksandr VASILEVSKY, doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof., Researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Texas at Austin, USA, from the University of Texas at Austin, on the topic "Adaptive intelligent control of metal powder melting through transfer learning", and many other outstanding colleagues who shared their perspectives on the future development of mechatronic systems.
During the conference, there was also a presentation of innovative technologies in the field of mechatronics, where the speakers presented their latest achievements, such as "Intelligent control systems for robotic devices based on ML technologies" Lebedenko Y. O., Kalinina K. R., Manoilenko O. P., M. A. Didyk.
The academic community learned the opinion of education seekers, in particular, listened to the views of representatives of the student self-government of the faculty. Head of student self-government of the Faculty of MCT - Dmytro Malyhin with a speech on the topic "Experience of participation in student self-government of the Faculty of MCT during the admissions campaign and monitoring of educational programs", expressing his vision regarding the active role of students in shaping their educational environment at the Faculty.
The final part of the conference included an expression of gratitude to all participants who contributed to the development of science and technology. The International Scientific and Practical Conference on Mechatronics had a high scientific and organizational level and is an important forum for the exchange of ideas and the development of cooperation in the field of mechatronics, and further dialogues and projects initiated during the event promise to provide a new impetus for the development of this field of science.
