Responsible use of resources and careful waste processing is the key to sustainable development of the country and society. Last year, Biosphere Corporation started a good tradition to celebrate the GlobaL Recycling Day together with students of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

Therefore, this year, on November 15, the main recycling plant of Ukraine, Polygreen of Biosphere Сorporation (Fastiv city), has already traditionally invited undergraduates, post-graduates and teachers of the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving to visit the enterprise.

Polygreen recycling plant, supplied with modern European equipment that provides a full cycle of polymer waste processing, is a leader in the production of secondary polyethylene granules. The company adheres to the "Zero Waste" philosophy, the main idea of which is to slow down or close the life cycle of things produced by mankind.

The director of the plant Oleh  Lozovoy (PhD student of the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving) spoke in detail about all the stages of polyethylene film processing: from the sorting process to the production of secondary granules of various nomenclature. Comprehensive answers were given to all the guests’ questions and advice was provided on how to sort household waste, thus making a full contribution to the ecological future.

We sincerely hope that this event will be an impetus for responsible use of resources and full recycling of waste!!!
