On 8 December 2023, Dr. Ivan Gryshchenko, Rector of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, as a co-organiser, took part online in the II International Scientific Conference "Sustainable Development Strategy: Global Trends, National Experience and New Goals", which was held in a mixed format. The conference was hosted by our university's international partner, Mingachevir State University (Azerbaijan Republic), with which we have been cooperating since 2021, with significant strategic results, including participation in research and educational projects.
The participants of the conference: teachers, scientists and experts from 9 countries, represented higher education institutions, research institutes and specialised institutions. The event, dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, was not only a forum for discussing important aspects of sustainable development, but also a tribute to his legacy.
In his keynote speech, Dr. Ivan Gryshchenko, expressing his respect for Dr. Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Mingachevir State University, identified mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of the sustainable development strategy as a key element in solving modern problems, stressing the importance of such cooperation in the context of the extremely difficult situation in Ukraine caused by Russian military aggression.
Addressing the participants of the conference, the Rector of KNUTD called for further development of cooperation and exchange of ideas as the most effective way to solve modern global problems. He expressed his belief that the ideas and solutions discussed at the conference will become the basis for scientific progress and development of the university community.
Concluding his address, Dr. Ivan Gryshchenko wished all the participants of the conference productive debates and new ideas that will undoubtedly become a solid foundation for successfully overcoming the challenges of sustainable development.
