On December 1-2, 2023, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, PhD, prof. Nataliya Ostapenko, professor of the Department of Fashion Technology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. Liudmila Galavska and the head of the Department of Fashion Technology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. Olga Garanina took part in the largest business forum of light industry "Legka Konfa", which took place in one of the largest event locations in the country, Emily Event Hall in Lviv.

The main mission of the business forum "Legka Confa" is to promote the development and technological optimization of the light industry of Ukraine through the exchange of experience and knowledge by leading specialists and industry experts; implementation of new ideas, standards, values; joint overcoming of industry problems, finding like-minded people, open dialogue between participants; exchange of insights, motivation, tools for creating European-level business.

The business forum was opened by the First Deputy Prime Minister - the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, with an online report on the prospects for the development of light industry in Ukraine.

The participation of the educational and scientific community in a business form contributes to the establishment of new relations with employers, the search for lecturers-practitioners, familiarization with modern equipment and technologies in light industry, the birth of new opportunities for the implementation of scientific, scientific and technical and innovative developments of the University's scientists for the development and prosperity of light industry in Ukraine.

The general partner of the event was the Softorg company, which has been a leading distributor of professional sewing equipment since 1999 and a market leader in Ukraine in this field.

Within the framework of participation in the business forum "Legka Confa", scientific and pedagogical workers of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, together with colleagues from the Lviv College of KNUTD, had the opportunity to conduct career orientation work, familiarize manufacturers from various regions with the list of educational programs that train specialists for light industry.
