KNUTD REPRESENTATIVES TOOK PART IN THE CONFERENCE “SYNERGY. IT BUSINESS & IT EDUCATION”

On December 11th, 2023, one of the biggest events in the field of IT education in Ukraine took place – the opening of the 10th anniversary conference “Synergy. IT Business & IT Education”. The organizer of the event was the IT Ukraine Association together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Leading IT companies became partners of the conference, in particular: EPAM, SoftServe, UKRSIBBANK, GlobalLogic, N-iX, Sigma, GoIT, and others.

The event at the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center brought together the brightest specialists and experts in education, information technologies and business.

The key events of the conference were panel discussions where current and future cooperation between IT, business and education was discussed.

During the discussion “Looking into Tomorrow: What Awaits IT Education in Ukraine?”, the vision of the development of IT education and its role in the development of the industry was shared by Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation; Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for Higher Education; Taras Kytsmey, co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of SoftServe; Stepan Mitish, vice-president, head of EPAM Ukraine; Anton Chorny, CEO of GoIT. The moderator was Maria Shevchuk, acting executive director of IT Ukraine Association.

The problem of “Quality Strategies of Ukrainian Educational Business: Investments, International Markets, Brand Building” and the vision of solving these problems were shared with the participants by: Volodymyr Bugrov, Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv; Iryna Biliaieva, partner and CEO of Juscutum; Sviatoslav Kavetskyi, director of industry affairs at N-iX; Marta Semenova-Babych, training and development specialist in the EMEA region, GlobalLogic. The discussion was moderated by Ksenia Stolbova, CEO of DAN.IT education.

The participants of the panel discussion “EdTech Startups: How Technologies are Changing the Future of Education” shared their experience of using innovative technologies in education: Anna Apostol, co-founder and COO, Mate academy; Natalia Limonova, founder and CEO of GIOS; Volodymyr Strashko, CEO of Unicorn Schoo, Edmaps; Yevhen Suslov, co-founder and CEO of Softbook. The discussion was moderated by Olena Samborska, president of the IT Ukraine Association, Managing Director/HR Operations Director, Luxoft.

The participants of the discussion “Leadership, Soft Skills, Lifelong Learning and Other Trends in the Job Market” addressed the most relevant and interesting issues for any specialist: Yevhen Bondarets, executive director of Lifelong Learning at “American University Kyiv”; Stanislav Kutsenko, adviser to the director of DNU “Institute of Modernization of the Content of Education” of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Natalia Halunko, head of the Department of Personnel Management, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group; Anastasia Khyzhniak, Talent Enablement Director Jooble and Olha Osredchuk, moderator, head of external training and university programs, Sigma Software, PhD in History, Assoc. Prof.

Leading specialists and experts from the companies EPAM, SoftServe, DataArt, UKRSIBBANK, UNIT.City, SET University, CyberBionic Systematics, GoIT, GlobalLogic, Weblium, Sigma Software, and Intellias made interesting presentations.

Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design was represented at the conference by: Volodymyr Statsenko, Vice-rector for Digital Transformation; Ihor Panasiuk, Director of the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies; Volodymyr Pavlenko, Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies; Vladyslava Skidan, Head of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies (ICT); Oleh Nikonov, Professor of the Department of ICT; Antonina Volivach, Associate Professor of the Department of ICT.

We sincerely thank the organizers for the opportunity to discuss the latest technological trends and innovative solutions in the IT field, meet leading industry experts, share our own experience, exchange ideas and establish professional contacts.
