ROUND TABLE WITH STAKEHOLDERS OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN

On October 19, 2023, a round table was held with stakeholders of the educational and scientific program (ESP) "Professional Education" for students of the third (educational and scientific) level and the educational and professional program (EPP) "Professional Education (Technology of Light Industry Products)" for students of the second (master's) level of higher education.

It was attended by Mariia Bilianska, guarantor of the EPP "Professional Education" for students of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education, Head of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Nataliia Ostapenko, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, member of the EPP support group, Vita HRYHORIEVA - representative of the support group of the EPP "Professional Education (Technology of Light Industry Products)" for students of the second (master's) level of higher education, Associate Professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design, Doctor of Philosophy in Professional Education, as well as other members of the academic teaching staff of KNUTD.

The employers were represented by:  Hanna SHCHUTSKA - Director of the Kyiv Professional College of Applied Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor; fellow scientists from the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University - Halyna RIPKA - Head of the Department of Light Industry Technologies, PhD, Associate Professor, Yevhen MAZNEV - PhD, Doctor of Engineering, Associate Professor; Larysa Tretiakova, Professor of the Department of Occupational Health and Safety, Doctor of Engineering, National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute"; Viktor Demianiuk, Director of the Rivne Economic and Technological College of NUVEP, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Academician of the Engineering Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Excellence in Education of Ukraine.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues was discussed regarding the current state of training of applicants for educational programs. Mariia Bilіanska familiarized the participants with the purpose, features, focus of the EPP, goals, educational components (ECs) that contribute to the formation of general and professional competencies and the achievement of program learning outcomes (PLOs).

Hanna Shchutska gave a positive feedback on the concept of the PLOs, expressing the hope that this meeting will be an impetus for further cooperation and launching projects in terms of research and strengthening the interaction between education and employers.

During the roundtable, the participants discussed ways to develop the PLOs for students of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education, in particular, the emphasis was placed on the implementation of opportunities for internal and international academic mobility of teachers and students to develop common competencies.

Vita Hryhorieva presented to the participants of the round table the goals, features, and focus of the EPP for students of the second (master's) level of higher education.

In the course of discussing the PLOs to ensure the formation of professional competencies, proposals were made to include educational components related to the organization of project activities in Professional (Professional and technical) education institutions, the use of information and communication technologies in education, the organization and methods of teaching in Professional education institutions, and the introduction of modern technologies for fashion industry products.

After the round table, a number of proposals from stakeholders were agreed upon to improve the EPP "Professional Education (Technology of Light Industry Products)" of the second (master's) level of higher education, concerning the list of disciplines, and appropriate decisions were made.

The staff of the Department of Postgraduate Studies and the Faculty of Arts and Fashion express their sincere gratitude for the interesting and informative meeting and valuable recommendations for improving the EPP and PLOs.
