Since the beginning of the war, Associate Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, Olena VYSHNEVSKA, has been engaged in the volunteer movement. Since February 28, 2022, Olena Viacheslavivna has been working with the public organization Volunteer Movement "Battalion Sіtka". The main focus of the volunteer organization’s work is weaving protective nets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On International Volunteer Day, Olena VYSHNEVSKA’s work was recognized with acknowledgments from the leadership of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the command of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria”.
