During the defense of her qualifying paper, Tetiana Rudneva, a teacher at Kyiv Vocational College of Applied Sciences, demonstrated to the commission the research results on the justification of the choice of a method of shoulder clothing design for atypical female figures.

The examination committee of the educational and professional program "Design and technology of garments" included the head of the EC, an external stakeholder, the director of LLC "Kyiv House of Fashion" Hryhoriy Korsunenko and members of the commission - Associate Professors of the Department of Fashion and Style Arseniy Arabuli (guarantor of the educational program), Larysa Bilotska, and Maryna Yatsenko.

The members of the examination committee listened to the results of the qualifying papers of eight winners: Iryna Ihnatenko, Oleksandra Storozhuk, Veronika Vereshchak, Iryna Komar, Yuliya Olytska, Oleksandra Kosarych, Oleksandra Savchenko, and Leonid Havrysh

The students, despite the difficult conditions of martial law, under the guidance of the academic staff of the Department of Fashion and Style, performed their work at a high level. The qualifying works presented at the defense were distinguished by the research urgency, the validity and creativity of solutions, the innovativeness of the author’s developments, as well as the practical direction, which caused a lively discussion and interesting questions from the chairman and members of the examination commission, to which the speakers gave reasoned and meaningful answers. This once again demonstrated a high level of professional preparation.

The members of the examination commission were especially interested in Leonid Havrysh’s research work, devoted to researching the methods of automated design of industrial clothing collections considering the principles of customization. It should be noted that Leonid’s grandfather, Leonid Tarasovych Havrysh, a graduate of our institution of higher education in 1969, was the legendary head of Volodarka garment factory in Vinnytsia. The son of L.T. Havrysh, Roman Leonidovych Havrysh, the chairman of the supervisory board of Volodarka PJSC, continues the glorious traditions of his father. Currently, this enterprise is a European model in the tailoring of men’s outerwear. We are sure that Leonid Havrysh will continue the glorious dynasty of fashion industry experts with dignity!

We congratulate the graduates of the Department of Fashion and Style on the defense of their qualifying papers and wish them further success in all their endeavors and professional development under a peaceful sky!
