The Ukrainian State Centre for International Education (USCIE) constantly monitors the trends in the provision of quality educational services to foreign citizens in Ukraine.
It should be noted that despite martial law and constant air raids, there are many people who want to study here because, according to survey participants, it is in Ukraine that they receive a high-quality educational foundation that enables them to develop to the highest professional levels.
This year, the USCIE оrganised a survey among foreign students currently studying at Ukrainian higher education institutions. Almost 3.5 thousand foreigners took part in the survey and they went beyond the usual answers to the questions and also expressed their support for Ukraine by leaving the following comments: “Ukrainians, you are incredible!”, “I admire Ukrainian people and this country”, “Glory to Ukraine!”, “I love you, my beautiful Ukraine”.
Among the most popular universities in the capital, foreign students chose Bogomolets National Medical University and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design!
This result is an important event for the academic staff, evidence of the growth and strengthening of the University’s prestige, its long-term targeted work to expand the export of educational services to other countries.

Today, we teach 1626 foreigners, which is 19.6% of the total number of students at the University, from more than 20 countries, including the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Turkey, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and others. The most popular specialties among foreigners at KNUTD are 022 “Design”, 161 “Chemical Technology and Engineering”, 162 “Biotechnology and Bioengineering”.
The high effectiveness of our work in the People’s Republic of China is demonstrated by the joint Sino-Ukrainian Kyiv Institute, which held its first graduation of bachelors and masters in 2023.
