On January 14, 2024, the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of China was celebrated at the center of cultural events in the Arab world, on the main stage of the Middle East – the Dubai Opera House, where the Ukrainian folk song “Nichko Tsikavaia” (“Night is interesting”) performed by Honored Artist of Ukraine, Honorary Doctor of KNUTD Michael Brunsky was among the congratulatory performances.

This event was a historic moment for Ukrainian culture, as it was the first time a Ukrainian folk song was performed on the stage of Dubai Opera. The main organizer of the event was Prime Performance company, which combined the anniversary celebration between the two countries, the 10th anniversary of the Chinese Spring Festival in the UAE and the Chinese New Year.

The most famous and first official publication in the UAE, the Khaleej Times, among the 28 performances presented in the 3-hour show mentioned only a few names in its article, including Michael Brunsky, and described his performance as “a journey through time that evoked awe and gratitude”.
