Applicants for higher education in the specialties 242 "Tourism" and 241 "Hotel and Restaurant Business" together with teachers of the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business, within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation concluded in 2022, took part in the international symposium "People and Technology in Hospitality and Tourism", which took place on January 31, 2024. The event was organized by the University of Sheffield Hallam in the UK.

This event was a great opportunity for Ukrainian participants to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the British event and deepen their educational cooperation with the Sheffield Hallam University. The initiator of the Ukrainian delegation was professor Dr. David Graham, Head of the subject group on Tourism and Hospitality Management.

During the event, the participants from Ukraine were exposed to innovative technologies in the field of tourism and had an exceptional opportunity to listen to highly professional speeches from representatives of the British and World business community and experts from Sheffield Hallam University. This event will undoubtedly become a fruitful field for intensifying cooperation in the educational field, which will lead to the growth of intellectual and professional opportunities for our graduates in the field of tourism in Ukraine.

Participation in the symposium is defined as a consistent and significant step in strengthening the interaction and exchange of achievements between Ukrainian and British institutions. The event is an opportunity to promote professional and academic understanding in the field of tourism and hospitality.
