Ethics and empathy for living beings are critical pedagogical values. Teachers and students of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design pay great attention to this.

The cooperation of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design with international public organizations InterNICHE (Great Britain) and DAAE (Germany) continues for the second year.

As part of the project "Computers and Alternatives Instead of Animals", the Departments of Industrial Pharmacy and Professional Education in Technologies and Design were given technical means (laptops, projectors), as well as alternatives that allow replacing experiments on animals and using animal derived materials in the educational process: multimedia programs and video films.

Dmytro Leporskyi, a biologist and project coordinator in Ukraine, believes that alternatives not only help save the lives of animals and improve the quality of education through modern technologies but also respect the rights of students to freedom of conscience. The latter is enshrined in Ukraine’s legislation in "On the Protection of Animal Rights from Cruelty".

In this academic semester, it is planned to sign a contract with the Department of Biotechnology, Leather, and Fur. We sincerely thank the international organizations for their support and hope for further fruitful cooperation!
