On 22 February at 17.00, in the mysterious corners of the professional Theatre on Mykhailivska Street, a charming comedy-phantasmagoria “EROTIC DREAMS OF OUR CITY”, where all the roles are played by students of the KNUTD Department of Performing Arts and Culture, will unfold. The actors immerse the audience in the world of laughter and fantasy, creating a unique atmosphere of the exciting theatre.

Prominent director Vitaly Kino, head of the Theatre on Mykhailivska, presents a magical comedy-phantasmagoria created by students of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

To implement this creative project, the management of the Theatre on Mykhailivska provided our students with all the necessary resources, including costumes, sets and props, and involved all the technical services of the theatre in the performance.

Thanks to such enthusiastic support, the team of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture worked on the performance together with the Theatre on Mykhailivska Street for a year, filling the stage atmosphere with inspiration and experimental ideas.

The play was created by Vitaly Kino based on a story by Tetіana Malіarchuk, a Ukrainian writer and publicist, a master of historical prose who has been living in Austria since 2011. Her works and ideas are often featured in the German media, helping to draw attention to Ukraine and its culture. Tania Malіarchuk is not only a talented writer but also a devoted daughter of her homeland, who has done everything possible to make Ukraine known in the world.

The story of ordinary people whom we meet everywhere – in the subway, at work, in a medical institution or even in our own backyard – is unfolding on stage. Is it possible that we are among them?

The characters of the play are a reflection of our lives, our problems, dreams and hopes, which are shown on the theatre stage. They are us, with our joys and worries, taking their place on the stage to tell their story.

The play consists of two parallel worlds: real life and the phantasmagoric world of dreams. However, sometimes the dream world is more real than life itself because here we have the opportunity to look at our true nature, without any conditions.

After a night of dreams, we wake up and find ourselves back in the midst of our "real" selves – complexes, fears, fatigue, emotions ... But don’t worry! There is a way out! By the recipe – go to the performance, where you will be told the secret of how to overcome all these difficulties, gaining wisdom and strength that gives fantasy.
Tania Maliarchuk, the author of the story on which the play “EROTIC DREAMS OF OUR CITY” is based, expresses her opinion about a human being as “a creature who wants to be loved but no one loves him”. We are ready to discuss this topic in the performance that takes place on 22 February at the Theatre on Mykhailivska Street, 22zh, Mykhailivska Street.
