EVENTS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN DEDICATED TO THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF THE FULL-SCALE WAR IN UKRAINE

On February 24, 2022, the russian federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This was the beginning of the war escalation that has been going on since 2014.

Two years have passed since that date, during which Ukrainians have shown the world their courage, dignity, and resilience. For 730 days, Ukrainian military and civilians have been standing side by side against the russian invader and defending their independence, statehood and national identity. The events in different cities of Ukraine, invaded by the enemy, shocked the world community, including the horrific war crimes committed by russia in Bucha, Borodianka, Makariv, Irpin, and other cities of the Kyiv region.

On February 21, 2024, seekers for higher education of the first (bachelor's) level of the educational programs "Professional Education" and "Psychology" together with curators, associate professors of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design Alla Kolodiazhna and Vita Hrygorieva held a round table with the eloquent slogan "Forging Victory Together!", where they recalled the historical events that preceded russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the main stages of the russian-Ukrainian war, and characterized the anti-Ukrainian content of the "russian world" theory. They exchanged views on the place of the Ukrainian language in the formation of the national identity of Ukrainians and the prospects for the European integration aspirations of the Ukrainian people. The students demonstrated awareness of the countries that are strategic partners of Ukraine and showed unwavering faith in the victory of our people over the russian aggressors!

The roundtable participants were also invited to watch a documentary by a war journalist Andriy Tsapliyenko, “The Battle for Kyiv”. The film tells the story of the first days of the russian military's invasion of Ukraine and includes comments from participants in the events and military experts.

We thank the incredible Armed Forces of Ukraine for their resilience and courage, and we thank everyone who is fighting in this battle and building a free Ukraine through their own actions.

Together we will win! We are fighting for our Independence and our Freedom!

Glory to Ukraine!
