We are pleased to announce that Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design has been awarded the gratitude of the Governing Council of the Magna Charta Observatory. This prestigious recognition is a testament to our commitment to academic freedom, institutional autonomy, and our desire to foster an environment where knowledge flourishes and diversity of thought is supported.

KNUTD joined the Magna Charta Universitatum on 18 September 2018 and thus joined the elite European academic community that advocates protection of the rights and freedoms of scientists and educators all over the world.

Today, in the time of full-scale military aggression, adherence to these principles is extremely important. Despite the difficult conditions, the University has not compromised any of the principles of the Magna Charta. Every day we work for victory, providing students with high-quality education, supporting scientific research, helping the Armed Forces, and educating the future generation of true citizens of Ukraine.

The award confirms the collective efforts of our entire University community – teachers, staff, students and alumni.

Celebrating this great achievement, we express our deep gratitude to the Governing Council of the Magna Charta Universitatum for this honour and recognition. Together, we will continue to uphold the principles of academic freedom and ethical responsibility, providing the conditions for the University to establish itself as a centre for the flourishing of ideas, innovation and knowledge.
