On February 26, 2024, another meeting was held within the framework of the UKRAINE TWINNING INITIATIVE project with partners from Sheffield Hallam University (Great Britain) with the support of Cormack Consultancy Group.
The participants of the meeting were James Richardson – Director of Global Development and Partnerships of Sheffield Hallam University, Gill Baverstock – Coordinator of Global Development and Partnerships of Sheffield Hallam University, PA to James Richardson; Oksana Vavrenchuk – Assistant Director of the Twinning project/Cormack Consultancy Group; Kalyna Pashkevych – Dean of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD; Anna Sinilkina – an employee of the Department of International Educational Programs of KNUTD, Inna Borolis – a senior teacher of the Department of Philology and Translation of KNUTD.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore the possibilities of expanding the partnership between Sheffield Hallam University and KNUTD by developing cooperation between the faculties in the field of art and design. Colleagues from both universities agreed to start cooperation on joint projects in the form of guest lectures on various areas of design and participation in conferences, development of COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) projects, double degree programs, etc.
The representatives of KNUTD invited colleagues to take part in the international scientific and practical conference "TOPICAL ISSUES OF MODERN DESIGN", scheduled for April 25, 2024.
The participants of the meeting identified promising directions for further cooperation: studying the area of mutual academic interest in the field of art and design between the two universities; selection of the academic staff members who will be involved in cooperation with partner universities; scheduling guest lectures on fashion design, interior design, multimedia and graphic design, etc.
We would like to thank our colleagues from Cormak Consultancy Group, represented by Oleksandr Smirnov, director of the Ukraine Twinning CCG project, for organizing the meeting and assisting in the development of partnership during the difficult wartime for domestic education.
