On 29 February 2024, as part of their internship and acquaintance with the History of Costume and Fashion, students of the educational programs «Modeling, Design, and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products», «Design, and Technology of Light Industry» together with the teachers of the Department of Fashion and Style visited the private museum of costume and style VICTORIA MUSEUM and plunged into the beauty of the Victorian era.

Self-education in artistic and aesthetic culture is an integral component of a modern personality, especially of future fashion designers. Victoria Museum is a place where beauty, sophistication, and history are combined. All this will inspire students to create new artistic images and collections by combining modern costumes with elements of historical costumes, styling and interpreting shapes, silhouettes, and decorating techniques.

For creative students, every little thing presented in the museum’s collection, which includes about 100 authentic men’s and women’s costumes of the mid-19th - early 20th centuries and more than 500 exhibits, including shoes, accessories, jewelry, and household items, reflecting the spirit and originality of the Victorian urban fashion, can be an inspiration.

The students listened with interest to the audio accompaniment about the uniqueness of the antique products presented in the exhibition, looked at the details with enthusiasm, analyzed the artistic and constructive solution, elements of shaping and decorative techniques of costumes, accessories, and household items, and drew inspiration from the forms, materials and their combinations.
