On March 9, 2024, Ukraine celebrates the 210th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet, artist, public figure, influencer, nation-builder and prophet Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. His voice today inspires hope that “... there will be no enemy, no adversary, But there will be a son, and there will be a mother, And there will be people on the land!”
On the occasion of the holiday, the curators of the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies held an event that included a lecture with interesting facts from the poet’s biography, an introduction to his artistic legacy – Kobzar’s artworks with the views of Kyiv from different years.
The students demonstrated excellent knowledge of Taras Shevchenko’s biography and works, recited excerpts from their favorite poems. At the end, the most active participants of the event received goodies with Kobzar’s quotes.
Respecting Shevchenko means respecting the native language, the cultural heritage of our people.
Shevchenko Days are over. But our respect for Great Kobzar and admiration for his ideas and creativity do not end!
