On March 4, 2024, students of the first (bachelor’s) level of education in the specialty 182 Сonsumer industry technologies of the educational programs “Design and Technology of Garments”, “Styling, design and artistic finishing of fashion industry products”, “Textile technologies of fashion and interior space” and “Fashion industry” at the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Professor Nataliya Ostapenko and accompanied by the Deputy Dean, associate professor Tetiana Dzykovych, associate professor Larysa Bilotska, responsible for the organization of practice at the Department of Fashion and Style, associate professor Halyna Oliynyk and assistant Svitlana Lozovenko visited the production enterprise TK-DOMASHNIY TEKSTYL.
Nataliya Aminova, the head of TK-DOMASHNIY TEKSTYL Personnel Department, welcomed the students and teachers. At the beginning of the meeting, she spoke about the glorious history and assortment of the company. The company is part of the “Textile-Contact” group of companies and has become a leader in the production of textile products in Ukraine for more than 25 years of successful work. The main part of the assortment is produced at our factories, which are located in Kyiv, Odesa, and Chernihiv.
The range of manufactured products includes bedding sets made of natural fabrics of their own production, knitted sheets and pillowcases, mattress pads, terry bathrobes and towels, pillows and blankets, quilted bedspreads, kitchen textiles, SPA accessories, and much more. Special attention is paid to the production of textiles for newborns – the company TK-DOMASHNIY TEKSTYL is a manufacturer of knitted and textile products for the state financial assistance program “Baby Package”. The company’s trademark “Home Line” has gained popularity far beyond the borders of Ukraine.
Nataliya Aminova introduced the students to the quilting production, which consists of five highly productive quilting and computerized quilting and embroidery machines, allowing the production of a wide range of blankets and bedspreads for home textiles.
Future specialists were also interested in embroidery production, equipped with modern embroidery machines that allow the creation of embroidery of any complexity and on almost any type of fabric.
The students visited the spacious workshops of the enterprise and got acquainted with the technological processes of manufacturing products.
During their visit to the experimental department, the students got to know the designer of the enterprise, Pavlina Piddubna, who graduated from KNUTD in 2020 under the EP “Design and Technology of Garments”. Pavlina shared the specifics of her work, gratefully remembered the years of study at KNUTD and wished the students and teachers success in their studies, teaching, scientific and professional activities!
The employees of the enterprise, who conducted the tour, repeatedly emphasized the great demand for specialists in the garment industry – designers and technologists, both for the enterprise and for the industry in general.
