Art has a great and beautiful task:
to educate strong and firm people of the Ukrainian nation.

On March 13, 2024, bachelor and master students, specialty 075 Marketing, the Department of Marketing and Communication Design together with their curators (PhD, Associate Professor O.S. Yevseitseva, Doctor of Economics, Professor S.V. Bebko, PhD, Associate Professor K.O. Shikovets, PhD, Associate Professor H.M. Kvit) visited the Exhibition Center “Art Space of KNUTD” where a personal exhibition of works “...A PEACEFUL DREAM” by Dmytro Koval, the famous Ukrainian artist, university lecturer, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, is held.
The exhibition includes such famous works of the artist as "Girl-Spring", "My Dream. Peaceful Garden", "Cool Night", "Reincarnation", "Last Rays of the Sun", "Ghosts of the Old Lake", "Oriental Princess", and many others. The central painting of the exhibition is the monumental in form and artistic content work "Ukrainian Prayer", an image of Ukrainian authenticity, a symbol of eternity and rebirth.
The students were impressed by Dmytro Koval’s painting technique. It is original and it is not easy to find an unambiguous definition of it. Most of the students insisted that it was an Impressionist technique, while others saw the traditions of Pointillism in the artist’s works. But everyone agreed that it is the artist’s unusual author’s style combined with delicate colouring and deep symbolism that creates an atmosphere of fairy-tale reality – nostalgic, mysterious and original.
The themes that the artist touches upon in his works of art are very relevant. Today, the war has changed the life of every Ukrainian, changed the world and worldview, priorities and dreams. Today, simple everyday things have gained the greatest value – day and night without anxiety, smiles of children, relatives, colleagues, support of those who are close, who fight and protect, who believe and wait... And the only dream for everyone is Peace and Victory.
After viewing the paintings, the group curators asked the students to write short essays on the topic “What are the greatest values of life today?”
The exhibition left a pleasant impression. A lot of ideas and creative plans immediately come to mind. We are sincerely grateful to Dmytro Koval for his inspiration and positive attitude.
Sincerely, the Department of Marketing and Communication Design
