On March 20, 2024, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design hosted a working meeting of the University Rector Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with Vadym Ihnatov, Director of “LUAZ Motors, LLC”, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Electric Vehicle Market Participants (EV- UA).

The meeting was attended by Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, Vice-rector of KNUTD, Igor Panasiuk, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies of KNUTD, Volodymyr Statsenko, Vice-rector for Digital Transformation of KNUTD, Iryna Shvedchikova, Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics of KNUTD.

In December 2022, Vadym Ihnatov presented the first Ukrainian electric LUAZ pickup. Not only does it have the same name as the legendary “Volynianka” of the Lutsk Automobile Plant, but it is also positioned as the reincarnation of the SUV in an electric version. “LUAZ Motors, LLC” is the first company in Ukraine that offers on the market vehicles that are both cheap, easy to repair and adapted to rural areas. Large-scale assembly of electric pickup trucks is carried out at the “LUZ Motors, LLC” enterprise.

During the meeting, a partnership and cooperation agreement was signed between “LUAZ Motors, LLC” and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. A wide range of issues of further cooperation and its expansion in order to conduct joint educational and scientific events were discussed.

The meeting took place in a warm friendly atmosphere.
