On March 20, 2024, a field seminar was held in the showroom of the FREEDOM company located in the “Domosfera” shopping center for bachelor and master students of the educational program “Environmental Design” on the topic “Contemporary trends in interior design in the furniture, tiles, and plumbing sectors”. The event was attended by senior managers of the company, Oleksandr Plisko and Tetiana Mishchenko, as well as the faculty members of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design: Candidate of Technical Sciences Tetiana Bulhakova, PhD, Oleksandra Shmelova-Nesterenko, and bachelor and master students.

The participants learned about the latest technological and aesthetic solutions in the production of modern ceramogranite, innovations from renowned designers and brands in the plumbing industry, and the latest developments from Italian furniture manufacturers for kitchens, living rooms, and wardrobes. Much attention was drawn to the ceramoranite products of the Italian company IRIS, plumbing products from Roberto Cavalli, designer faucets from the “Gessi” factory, and modern aesthetic and technological techniques for decorating furniture with natural stone and leather.

During the seminar, the students acquired relevant knowledge of innovative methods, technologies, and constructive solutions, as well as contemporary trends in interior design of furniture, tiles, and plumbing, which can be applied in their future practical and scientific activities.
