Industrial practice provides students with the opportunity to consolidate acquired theoretical knowledge and receive practical training at leading enterprises of Ukraine working in chemical technologies and engineering.

On February 20, 2024, the students and teachers of the Department of Chemical Technology and Resource Saving visited the company “Kyivguma” LLC (Brovary), which is the leader of the Ukrainian market in the production of rubber, latex, PVC, TEP, and silicone products. “Kyivguma” manufactures more than 4,000 products for all sectors of the Ukrainian economy. This is a full-cycle enterprise that provides all stages of production, starting from the development of the polymer mixture and the design of equipment to the manufacture of finished products.

The students and teachers got acquainted with the work of the production workshops for the manufacture of rubber products and the laboratory for physical, mechanical and chemical-analytical tests, and took an active interest in production technologies, the features of various processes from the development of recipes and the manufacture of rubber compounds to the production of finished products.

On March 7, 2024, the students and teachers of the Department of Chemical Technology and Resource Saving visited VENTS Company (Boyarka). The teachers and students of the Department of Applied Physics and Higher Mathematics also joined the tour. VENTS is a leading company that manufactures a wide range of modern ventilation equipment.

The company’s products are distinguished by high quality, balanced technical characteristics and meet European and international requirements for energy efficiency, reliability and safety, which is confirmed by relevant certificates and implemented objects around the world. The students and teachers had the opportunity to learn about the complete closed production cycle of high-tech industrial products: from the production of individual parts to the creation of a finished product.

All enterprises are in dire need of engineering specialists and environmental protection experts. During the tours, the students had an opportunity to communicate with the employees of the enterprises and once again make sure of the correct choice of profession.
