An obligatory educational component of the training of specialists in the specialty 182 Consumer industry technologies is the completion of practice at domestic and foreign sewing enterprises of various forms of ownership. From February 12 to March 9, 2024, the graduates of the first (bachelor’s) and research practice of the second (master’s) levels of higher education under the educational programs “Design and Technology of Garments” and “Styling, Design and Artistic Finishing of Fashion Industry Products” traditionally underwent production practice at domestic and foreign enterprises.
This year, modern enterprises in Ukraine became the main base of practice – LLC “DANA-MODA” (Kyiv), LTD “UKRTEKSTIL” (Kyiv), LLC “TK-DOMASHNIY TEKSTYL” (Kyiv), LLC “Advertising Textiles” (Kyiv), LLC “Florence” (Kyiv), LLC “TD SKYS” (Cherkasy), LLC “AVS-CREATIV” (Kyiv), PJSC “Volodarka” (Vinnitsa), LLC “SURIKAT” (Kyiv), LLC “GARNE GROUP” (Rivne), TZOV “VEDDING KORPOREJSHN MILLANOVA” (Lviv), LLC “Bader Ukraine” (Lviv), TZOV “ZHASMIN LINZHERI” (Lutsk) and abroad - EMI-Sabinov s.r.o. (Slovak Republic, Pryaszevskyi region, Sabinov city), «Flaxpol» (Poland, Klyuchborg), and others with whom cooperation agreements have been concluded for different terms. The management of enterprises and organizations gladly accepted our students and provided their production facilities to fulfil the assigned tasks.
Four weeks of production and research practices were rich and extremely interesting. The students got acquainted with the structure of sewing enterprises of various capacities, the organisation and management of production processes, the specifics of the main divisions, the organisation of workplaces, their technical equipment, the placement of technological equipment, the peculiarity of the organisation of technological processes and the possibility of their improvement, learned about the assortment of garments, materials and fittings for their manufacture. The students deepened their skills in the development of clothing patterns with CAD “Julivi” and “Investronica”, consolidated their knowledge in the development and implementation of new clothing models in production, development of the technological sequence of manufacturing clothes of various assortments and purposes, work on modern sewing equipment, expanded their knowledge of technical methods of developing technological and design work documentation using modern equipment, etc.
During the period of practice, the students acquired practical professional skills in the organization and management of technological processes of clothing production at the factory, experience of working in the labour team at the enterprise, independently performed individual tasks to develop the design of new models of light industry products, including children’s, men’s and women’s clothing, underwear, corset products, military equipment, also participated in the production of volunteer orders for military personnel, etc.
The high level of training of higher education seekers in the specialty 182 Consumer industry technologies of the educational programs “Design and Technology of Garments” and “Styling, Design and Artistic Finishing of Fashion Industry Products”, their diligence and perseverance were highly appreciated by the management of enterprises, as evidenced by proposals for further employment of University graduates at the specified enterprises.
