As part of the cooperation between the State Scientific Research Institute of Armament and Military Equipment Testing and Certification and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD), a round table was held on March 18, 2024 to discuss urgent issues related to the development, certification and implementation of military products. The event was attended by the representatives of the Department of Fashion and Style of KNUTD – Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Doctor of Engineering, Professor Natalia OSTAPENKO, Head of the Department of Fashion and Style, PhD, Associate Professor Tetiana STRUMINSKA, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion and Style, PhD, Associate Professor Alla RUBANKA, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion and Style, PhD, Associate Professor Halyna OLIINYK.

During the discussion, the current state of physical support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the peculiarities of the development of technical specifications, and the need for their mandatory compliance by all manufacturers at all stages of the design and manufacture of military products were discussed. The representatives of the State Research Institute shared their experience conducting certified laboratory tests of experimental samples on modern equipment. During the meeting, attention was paid to the peculiarities of determining the experimental wearing of products, and academic workers of KNUTD shared their own experience of conducting scientific research on the influence of operational loads on the preservation of the properties of products during the declared period of wearing and storage.

During the meeting, the participants of the round table paid considerable attention to the discussion of unified national standards for military products with international and European regulatory documents. Attention was focused on the need to take into account the operating conditions, compatibility of products and the specifics of equipment and facilities. Overall, the meeting was very productive, intense and useful.

The representatives of the State Scientific Research Institute of Armament and Military Equipment Testing and Certification also thanked the Department of Fashion and Style for the advanced training courses organised for their employees, which had a very positive impact on the efficiency of their professional duties.
