On March 25, 2024, a meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Multimedia Design titled "Composition in Design developmen" took place, focusing on the topic: "Principles of creating stylized animated characters. Using animation figurative means in character development". Participants of the scientific circle include students of higher education programs «Multimedia Design» and Design (by types) at the bachelor's and master's levels (Vitaliy Chikhman, Diana Starovoitova, Angelika Kostina, Diana Tyha, Angelina Oleksiuk, Irina Ostroushko, Vladislava Zarubaieva, Oleksandr Hnatovskyi, Sofia Grytsai, etc.).
The head of the circle, Olena Slityuk, a PhD of technical sciences and associate professor of the Department of Multimedia Design, acquainted the students with approaches to creating stylized animated characters: the stages of development and requirements for the designed object.

During the meeting, the head of the scientific circle emphasized to the circle members the step-by-step process of creating an animated character, focusing on the selection of factors and figurative means influencing character portrayal, the search for character ideas, mimics, and the peculiarities of designing stylized 2D and 3D animated characters. Based on the discussed recommendations, educational participants developed their own character sketches. Circle participants presented their works and reports on the specified topic.
The meeting took place in a lively and friendly atmosphere. The results of the discussions can be used in further theoretical and practical research of applicants for higher education and in further scientific research of students in the direction of multimedia design.
