News -OPEN DOORS DAY AT THE FACULTY OF DESIGN

On March 30, 2024, the Open Doors Day was held at the Faculty of Design. The applicants for the specialty 022 Design were warmly welcomed by Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Olena Herasymenko, Deputy Dean for Research and Pedagogical Work, Heads of the Departments of the Faculty of Design: Nataliia Chuprina, Olena Vasylieva, Danylo Kosenko, Yevhen Gula, lecturers: Iryna Davydenko, Tetiana Bulhakova, Mykhailo Rudenko, as well as Olha Semenenko, student, head of the Student Trade Union Committee of the Faculty of Design.

The representatives of the Faculty of Design spoke about the rules for admission to the bachelor’s degree programs "Graphic design", "Multimedia design", "Environmental design", "Fashion design" and the master's degree programs "Design (by types)", "Environmental design", "Fashion design", paying attention to the features of admission to creative specialties in 2024 link.

According to the draft Procedure for Admission to Higher Education in 2024, applicants for creative specialties will be required to take the NMT and a creative competition. It is planned that applicants for both state-funded and contractual programs will have to pass the NMT in four subjects. Three subjects will be compulsory (Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine), and one subject will be chosen by the participant (Ukrainian literature, geography, biology, physics, chemistry, English, German, French, Spanish). Instead of the results of the 2024 NMT, it will be possible to use the results of the 2022 or 2023 NMT, the 2021 ZNO or the matriculation exam.

Registration for the national multi-subject test will run from 14 March to 11 April 2024 and will be held remotely. To register for the NMT, an applicant needs to create a personal account on the website of the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA).

The applicants asked questions and received comprehensive answers about the tasks of the creative competition, the conditions of study and accommodation of students, the deadlines for registration for the creative competition and registration for participation in the competitive selection.

Olena Herasymenko presented the departments of the Faculty of Design, the heads of the departments explained to the meeting participants the task of the creative competition for various educational programs at the Faculty of Design of KNUTD in the specialty 022 Design.

The Open Doors Day was held in a hybrid format – some participants joined via a link in Zoom.

Olha Semenenko, a student of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, spoke to the applicants and their parents, inviting them to join the group in the Telegram messenger, where groups have been created for communication about admission to the EP of the Faculty of Design:
