Constant fruitful and effective cooperation with stakeholders and employers is one of the top priorities for Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) to ensure the quality training of highly qualified specialists.
On April 01, 2024 in order to establish cooperation between education and industry Ivan GRYSHCHENKO, Rector of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Liudmyla HANUSHCHAK-YEFIMENKO, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of KNUTD and scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy met with Serhii SUR, Director for interaction with regulatory bodies of Arterium Corporation and Marina GERASYMENKO, Training and Development Manager of Arterium Corporation. During the meeting, they discussed possible areas and prospects for cooperation between the university and the pharmaceutical company.
During the meeting Vladyslav STRASHNYI, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Science, Professor, Head of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD and Tetiana DERKACH, Dr. habil. in Education, PhD in Chemistry, Professor, Dean of Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies invited the guests of honour to get acquainted with the material and technical base and research potential of the department and proudly demonstrated the classrooms equipped with modern analytical and technological equipment. Special attention was paid to the Educational and Research Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, Chemogenomics and Biogerontology of KNUTD (scientific director – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr BESSARABOV).
Also during the meeting, the academic staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy informed the representatives of the Arterium Corporation about the practice-oriented approach to teaching students at the department, numerous scientific studies carried out by higher education students during their studies, and presented newly developed new educational and professional programmes:
- «Innovative Pharmaceuticals» for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education;
- «European Сosmeceuticals» for the second (master's) level of higher education.
The training of higher education applicants in these educational and professional programmes will be carried out from September 2024.
Representatives of the Arterium Corporation noted the importance of introducing such innovative educational and professional programmes into the educational process, as the labour market's demand for specialists in the pharmaceutical and perfumery and cosmetics industries is growing every year. They emphasised that Arterium Corporation is open to the development of joint projects and implementation of promising scientific and practical research areas for the development and manufacture of medicines.
