The staff of the Department of Philology and Translation of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies regularly meets with stakeholders to improve educational and professional programmes and strengthen its practical orientation with the aim of training competitive future professionals.
On April 03, 2024, the Department of Philology and Translation held a round table with stakeholders on the educational and professional programme «English Language: Translation in Business Communications», the specialty 035 Philology of the bachelor’s level of higher education, namely, representatives of the academic community, employers and public organisations and associations interested in social partnership.
The discussion was moderated by the Head of the Department, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Yelyzaveta Isakova, who is the guarantor of this educational and professional programme.

The Guarantor made an opening speech to the participants of the meeting, emphasising the importance of involving stakeholders in updating the educational and professional programme in order to improve its content in line with the needs of the modern labour market, and introduced them the main features of the programme «English Language: Translation in Business Communications», its main objectives and educational components that contribute to the formation of general and professional competencies, as well as the achievement of programme learning outcomes.
The participants shared their own experience of training specialists in Ukrainian higher education institutions, working as a translator and generally praised the content and organisation of the educational process of the discussed educational and professional programme, as well as provided suggestions for improving the list and educational components and the need to deepen the study of certain topics to improve the quality of training.
As a result of the round table, the guarantor and members of the support group of the educational and professional programme «English Language: Translation in Business Communications» decided to take into account a number of proposals from stakeholders to update and improve it.
