According to the principles of the Programme of Internationalisation at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design for 2024-2028, fruitful international partnerships are key factors of the competitiveness and efficiency of the university, as our higher education institution professes the best traditions of European humanism and actively integrates into the successful world community.
In the academic year 2023-2024, the staff of the Department of Philology and Translation of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies worked hard on deepening international cooperation in the sphere of science and education.
Head of the Department of Philology and Translation Yelyzaveta Isakova, Professor of the Department Iryna Sieriakova, Associate Professor of the Department Svitlana Dvorianchykova, Senior Lecturer of the Department Inna Makhovych established direct contacts with representatives of potential international partners from higher education and other institutions around the world. In particular, the academic staff of the Department of Philology and Translation held talks with the leadership and staff of Baku Slavic University (Azerbaijan), Tskhum-Abkhazian Academy of Sciences (Georgia), Sokhumi State University (Georgia), Puntland Technical University (Somalia), University of Management and Future Technologies (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), International Cultural and Educational Association (ICEA) (USA).
As a result of the work done by the scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Philology and Translation in 2024 the following can be mentioned: signing the memorandums on the cooperation of the aforementioned institutions with Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, submitting a joint project application for the participation in the EU Erasmus+ program, developing a bilateral program of international academic mobility for students of KNUTD and Baku Slavic University, involving foreign professional communities into the work of the international scientific conference “Dialogue of cultures in the European educational space”, signing agreements with practice bases for applicants of educational programs “English language: translation in business communications” (specialty 035 Philology), “Secondary education: English language and literature” and “Ukrainian language and literature and English philological studies” (specialty 014 Secondary education), and beginning of the implementation of the joint Ukrainian-American project “Ukrainian Students International Communication Club” (USICC).
The staff of the Department of Philology and Translation will continue to strengthen cooperation with international partners in the scientific, academic and cultural spheres in general and in the field of pedagogical, philological, translation and Ukrainian studies in particular, which will contribute to the further integration of our alma mater into the European and world educational spaces.
