On April 12, 2024, a meeting of the Examination Commission for the defence of qualification papers was held as part of a joint Double Degree programme with Higher Business School in Dabrowa Gornicza (WSB, Poland). The meeting was in a hybrid format as a video conference with the Polish university.
The meeting was opened by Rafał Rębilas, PhD, Chairman of the Examination Commission for the Defence of Qualification Papers, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the WSB University, who congratulated the graduates on completing their studies under the Double Degree programme and stressed that the implementation of such programmes is extremely important in today’s environment. “I wish that the Polish diploma you have obtained will certainly be useful and beneficial for you and your employers”, Rafał Rebilas said in his welcoming speech. Other members of the Commission were Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Mariana Shkoda, Coordinator of the Ukrainian-Polish Centre of KNUTD; Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Iryna Honcharenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business of KNUTD; Doctor of Economics, Professor Iryna Miahkikh, Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business of KNUTD.
The graduates of the bachelor’s programme presented their research on topical issues of enterprise management in the face of new challenges in Polish and English, and successfully defended their work, answering the questions posed by the Commission members. It is worth noting that during the discussion of the final grades, Rafał Rebilas noted the high level of training of the students of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, their great interest in the programme itself and the results of their studies.
After the defence, Mariana Shkoda, the coordinator of the Ukrainian-Polish Centre of KNUTD, thanked the management of the WSB University for many years of cooperation and the opportunity to implement the double degree programme, which significantly increased the level of professional skills and competencies in the field of business management, developed the ability to communicate in Polish, and contributed to the potential employment of graduates of the programme.
We continue cooperation with our international partners to deepen the integration of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design into the European educational space and invite applicants to study under the double degree program in the 2024-2025 academic year.
