On April 11, 2024, the IX All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “Innovative trends in the training of specialists in the conditions of a multicultural and multilingual globalized world” was held at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, which was organized by scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Philology and Translation of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies.

The conference was held on the initiative of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the support of the INTREPID-HEI international project. Co-organizers of the conference – T. H. Shevchenko National University “Chernihiv Collegium”, National Aviation University (Kyiv), Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, Odesa State Agrarian University, Donbas State Engineering Academy (Ternopil), The Academy of Applied Science – Academy of Management and Administration in Opole (Poland).

The solemn opening of the conference began with the greeting by Liudmyla HANUSHCHAK-YEFIMENKO, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. In her welcoming speech, the vice-rector emphasized the importance of scientific work for modern specialists, underlined the importance of learning foreign languages and wished those present diligence and productive work.

The moderators of the event were Tetiana VLASIUK – PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Director of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies and Yelizaveta ISAKOVA – PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Philology and Translation.

The conference was attended by more than 100 scientists, teachers, graduate students and students of higher education institutions in Kyiv, Pereyaslav, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro, Chernivtsi, Kryvyi Rih, Kherson.

Three platforms worked within the framework of the conference:

1. Innovative methods of foreign language training of specialists.

2. Professional development of specialists in the era of globalization: experience, problems, prospects.

3. Current issues of foreign philology and translation studies.
