Students and lecturers of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design visited Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture as part of the Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week. The head of the Department, Danylo Kosenko, Professor Vadym Abyzov, and Associate Professors Ruslan Ahliullin and Oleksandra Shmelova-Nesterenko accompanied the students.

The Faculty of Architecture hosted the guests for a tour, led by Doctor of Architecture, Professor, active member of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture, Viktor Timokhin, and Candidate of Architecture, Associate Professor Tetiana Kashchenko. During the tour, students learned about the history of the Faculty, visited the library, student spaces, the Department’s teaching premises, and classrooms, where various student works were showcased.

As part of the tour, the students attended an exhibition of student works and projects.

In addition, the lecturers and students from the Department of Interior and Furniture Design were invited to the opening of a virtual reality laboratory equipped with new powerful computers. Senior lecturer Yevhen Yanovytsky demonstrated to the visitors the videos created by students showcasing projects and interactions with architectural animation through “Oculus” virtual reality glasses. During the meeting, directions of possible cooperation in the field of design between universities were discussed.
