From April 1 to April 7, 2024, Week of Design took place at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD), during which the Faculty of Design organized various events dedicated to the theme of the week. Within this event, the Department of Multimedia Design organized lectures and master classes focusing on one of the directions of multimedia design – photo and video design.
On April 3, 2024, an online lecture "The fashion photography design" was held by the famous international photo designer Artur Verkhovetskyi (UK), who now lives in London and collaborates with world-famous foreign publications L'Officiel, Marie Clair, Schon and participated in projects BMW, LexusUX and others.
The lecture was attended by the students of the educational programs "Multimedia Design," "Graphic Design," "Clothing Design," "Design (by type)" of bachelor’s and master’s levels Kateryna Semashko, Maria Makhortova, Nikita Bakov, Anastasia Akhmedova, Polina Kviatkovska, Alina Lunko and others, as well as the teachers of the Faculty of Design Olena Vasylieva, Vadym Batrak, Valeryi Skliarenko, Olena Slityuk, Volodymyr Padun, Olena Herasymenko, Ruslana Khynevych, Serhii Lavrusenko, etc.
Lecture by Artur Verkhovetskyi
At the lecture, Artur Verkhovetskyi spoke about his creative path and participation in various projects. He shared his experience of shooting in different genres and modern approaches to photography, gave examples of successful projects in which he participated, and spoke about the influence of modern trends on the development of photography. His lecture was interesting and informative for all those present, inspiring new achievements in the world of photo design.

After the lecture, the participants had the opportunity to ask Artur Verkhovetskyi some questions. During the conversation, a discussion arose, the audience asked questions about photodesign, the creative process, the choice of themes and techniques of shooting, as well as other aspects of photoart and design.
This communication contributes to better understanding of photodesign and the development of students’ creative abilities.
