From April 1 to 7, 2024, Design Week was held at KNUTD. The Faculty of Design organized many interesting events dedicated to the theme of the week. Within this event, the Department of Multimedia Design organized lectures and workshops focused on one of the directions of multimedia design – photo and video design.

On April 2, 2024, a workshop by Serhii Lavrusenko on the topic "Photo and Video Production" was held, dedicated to the specifics of the work of modern photo designers. Serhii Lavrusenko is a graduate of the KNUTD Faculty of Design, a Ukrainian photo and video designer, and the owner of a photo studio that successfully collaborates with Ukrainian glossy magazines such as PERSONA.TOP and various brands. The workshop was attended by the students of the educational programs "Multimedia Design", "Graphic Design", "Design (by types)" Polina Kviatkovska, Maria Ponomarenko, Anastasiia Akhmedova, Maksym Shershniov and others, as well as the faculty members Olena Vasylieva, Valeriy Skliarenko, Olena Slityuk, Volodymyr Padun, Olena Herasymenko, Yelizaveta Derevianko and others.

During the master class, particular attention was paid to the specifics of photo/video designers’ work, contemporary trends in photo/video production, shooting genres and their characteristics. Some techniques and tools for conducting shoots were demonstrated, and the attendees learned the technical features of working with them.

During the discussion, questions arose from the audience regarding the creation of photography, the creative process, the selection of themes and shooting techniques, as well as other aspects of photography. Such interaction contributes to a deeper understanding of photography and the development of the participants’ creative abilities.
