On April 17, 2024, a meeting took place between the head of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, PhD, Danylo Kosenko, and the stakeholder of the educational programs of the Department, the head of the interior design studio Mira Architects, Iryna Havryliuk.

Danylo Kosenko discussed the content of the professional training of designers under the educational and professional programs “Environmental Design” of the bachelor’s and master’s levels, showcasing the educational and qualification design projects of the students. Iryna Havryliuk outlined the main requirements of employers for the professional competencies of interior designers, including proficiency in modern specialized software, knowledge of interior decoration technologies and materials, furniture production and client interaction skills.

Special attention was paid by the colleagues to the integration of tasks based on real-life objects into the educational process. Iryna Havryliuk suggested involving students in social projects of the design studio, such as designing the reconstruction and renovation of schools, kindergartens, libraries, within the framework of industrial practice, coursework, and the execution of qualification works.

As a result of the meeting, the directions for further cooperation between the Department of Interior and Furniture Design of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and the interior design studio Mira Architects were agreed upon.
