In March 2022, Olena GURKOVSKA and Nataliya PYLYPENKO, employees of the dean's office of the faculty, joined the ranks of the Voluntary Formation of the territorial community of Kyiv "Mriya". From the beginning of the war to the present day, as part of the medical service, Olena and Nataliya perform tasks and assignments to provide soldiers with personal protective equipment, medicines, medical products, and first aid to the attached contingent.

On the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, March 14, 2024, a solemn prayer for the health of military personnel was held in St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral. During the ceremony, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphany of Kyiv and All Ukraine presented awards to the volunteers of the "Mriya".
