During the period from April 13 to April 20, 2024, the Head of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Vladyslava SKIDAN, took part in a working visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the Republic of Estonia upon the invitation of the Council on Education and Youth Affairs (HARNO) within the framework of the project "Steps Towards Excellence: Strengthening an Effective and Reliable Higher Education System in Ukraine."
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the best practices aimed at strengthening the effective and robust higher education system of Ukraine based on the experience of Estonia. Specifically, it involved studying the experience of implementing e-learning in Estonian universities, discussing current educational and scientific issues and challenges related to the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, and exchanging knowledge and experience with representatives of universities and research institutions of the Republic of Estonia.
On April 15, 2024, the first workshop dedicated to QA of Digital Higher Education in Estonia; Quality Label of e-courses (Liia Lauri, Assessment Director, Estonian Quality Agency for Education);
- Digitally enhanced teaching and learning in TalTech (Sille Paas, Instructional Designer, Tallinn University of Technology);
- Ukrainian experience in organizing elearning (Andriy Stoyka, Professor of Marketing and Tourism Department Mariupol State University);
- E-learning practices of Ukrainian universities. Summary of the study (Ülle Must, Harno).
On April 16, 2024, the Head of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies, Vladyslava Skidan, visited the Institute of Physics, University of Tartu, where she met with the director, Toomas Plank, and presented the e-course "Creation and Development of IT Products." During the meeting, they were introduced to e-learning and the criteria for evaluating electronic courses in Estonian universities.
On April 18, 2024, the second workshop dedicated to summaries of face-to-face meetings;
- Teaching Estonian at the University of Lviv (2019-2024) – online but in contact Heinike Heinsoo, Estonian language and culture lecturer, Lviv University;
- Research Data Management and Publishing (Tiiu Tarkpea, Research Data Senior Specialist, UT);
- Examples of MOOCs and e-courses (Anna Beitane, Manager of Online Learning and Continuing Education Projects, Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies, University of Tartu, Multiple nominee of the e-learning quality mark).
