On April 8 and 16, 2024, the scientific club “Scientific Developments in the Design and Manufacture of Fashion Industry Products” held meetings on the topic “Classical and Avant-Garde Approaches to Modelling and Manufacturing of Customised Products” at the Department of Fashion Technology.

The head of the club, Associate Professor Antonina Babych, and Associate Professor Tymofii Lipskyi introduced the students to modern innovations in fashion products, manufacturing technologies and product decoration.

During the meetings of the club, attention was focused on the importance of using innovative technologies, equipment, methods and tools for the development, manufacture and decoration of fashion products. The objectives of the meetings of the scientific club were to study the process of footwear manufacturing from modelling to the finished product.

During the work of the scientific club, the students developed a model of unlined shoes, prepared templates of parts, worked out the rational use of materials, cut and processed the cut details and made products for themselves.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. All the participants shared their views on the use of traditional and innovative manufacturing and finishing technologies, classic and atypical materials to create modern products in line with current fashion trends.
