On April 18, 2024, the students of the "Fashion Design" educational program of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education visited the production base of the sewing enterprise VETERANKA.
The focus of the VETERANKA workshop is the tailoring of high-quality women's military uniforms, which are provided free of charge upon request from defenders. The byVTRNK uniform is designed according to original patterns and considering the experience of military women wearing uniforms in different conditions of the front, international standards and features of the female anatomy. The VETERANKA workshop creates winter, demi-season and summer military uniforms.
The students of the Department of Art and Fashion Design were warmly welcomed by Hanna Suvorkina, the founder, a graduate of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, and the company's employees.
Hanna paid attention to our students and told them about the stages of production: what is produced and according to which standards, what special needs are put forward for women's military clothing, what fabrics and accessories are used in the creation of products. The special importance of drawing attention to the needs of women defenders and volunteer work in general was emphasized.
During the tour, which was conducted under the leadership of Olena Herasymenko, Associate Professor, guarantor of the educational and professional program "Fashion Design" at the second (master's) level of higher education, and teachers of the Department of Art and Fashion Design Iryna Chubotina and Olena Mukovnina, the students gained knowledge about basic methods and tools for development and implementation of models of uniforms, which will give them inspiration and encourage them to develop their own projects in clothing design.
