Since the beginning of the spring semester, teachers and curators of the Faculty of Management and Business Design have intensified cultural, educational and outreach work with students.
Thus, in March, on the occasion of Maslenitsa (or Cheese Week), which in Ukrainian tradition was considered a holiday of welcoming spring, a fun and tasty masterclass on cooking and tasting traditional dishes for this holiday was organised on the initiative of curators Andryi Zolkover, Natalya Bugas and students of the departments of Finance and Business Consulting and Management and Smart Innovations.
The purpose of the event was to acquaint the students with the history of Maslenitsa, its signs and traditions, to expand and update the students' knowledge of traditional Ukrainian holidays, and to continue the formation of national identity. Overall, the holiday was held in a warm, friendly, almost family-like atmosphere, and the impressions from it will last at least for a whole year.
The curators of the Department of Finance and Business Consulting, Andryi Zolkover, Dmytro Kovalenko, and Olha Batrak, began April with a visit to the student dormitory. They asked the commandant about the discipline of students, conducted educational work on maintaining order in the premises, and once again reminded the algorithm of actions in case of air raid alarm.
In an informal setting, during a tea party, the students demonstrated what kind of literature they are interested in outside the educational process, which impressed the teachers. The students liked the format of the meeting and discussed the programme of the next events.
In April, at the initiative of the students of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, who live in dormitory No. 5, the first spring clean-up was held together with the faculty. Students and teachers cleaned the area near the dormitory, whitewashed trees, painted, fertilised and planted plants.
Overall, the clean-up was friendly, fun and active. Tired but satisfied with the results of their joint work, students and teachers agreed on what they would do and plant during the next clean-up. We thank everyone who joined and took part in such an important cause!
