Multiculturalism is one of the aspects of tolerance and humanistic values, which consists in providing opportunities for the parallel existence of cultures, their mutual penetration, enrichment and development in the direction of universal human culture. The lecturer told the audience about several World Forums on Intercultural Dialogue held in Baku, as well as about the activities of Baku International Multiculturalism Center. The main goal of this institution is to ensure the preservation of tolerance and cultural, religious, linguistic diversity, as well as to popularize Azerbaijan in the world as a center of multiculturalism.
The students were interested to learn that Azerbaijan was historically a space where representatives of different peoples and religions lived in an atmosphere of peace and friendship. Azerbaijanis are proud that their Motherland is known in the world not only as a country with rich energy resources, but also as a state whose people are devoted to the principles of humanism and tolerance.
At the end of the meeting, the lecturer invited the applicants to complete the developed tasks to control the level of knowledge and assimilation of the studied material.
