On April 26, 2024, educational and practical training session was held for students of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business at the University’s partner company EPAM Systems Ukraine.
The training on Digital Accessibility was conducted by Iryna Shevchuk, an experienced IT marketer.
At the beginning of the training session, the trainees were shown a brief portfolio of the company, which is a recognised leader in the development, testing, maintenance of software and business applications, creation of competence centres (dedicated software development, testing and quality control centres), IT consulting, etc.
During the training, Iryna Shevchuk emphasized that digital accessibility is a key concept that breaks down barriers and provides universal access and interaction with online content for everyone. The training took the form of a lively conversation and was accompanied by a real dialogue aimed at discussing issues of digital accessibility using the example of web applications. Ms. Shevchuk emphasized the importance of web accessibility as the first step in creating an inclusive and successful online space. During the training session, the winners of the Department received comprehensive answers to all questions regarding digital accessibility, and the most active received gifts from the company.
After the training, the students had the opportunity to get into the atmosphere of a modern office, get acquainted with the principles of organizing the work of an international IT company, see working offices and recreation areas, meals; familiarize yourself with the company’s key business processes. The representatives of EPAM talked about the upcoming educational events, internship, and career development programs available to graduates of the Department.
The Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business, Taliat Bielialov, and the staff of the Department, consisting of Iryna Miahkykh, Mariana Shkoda, and Yana Onofriichuk, as well as the students of the Department, thanked the representatives of EPAM Systems Ukraine Company for the meaningful training and discussed directions for further fruitful cooperation and specific projects.
