EDUCATIONAL WORK OF THE FACULTY OF ARTS AND FASHION IN THE UNIVERSITY DORMITORIES

The lifestyle of the team, its creative spirit, traditions, and recognition of the uniqueness of each student are crucial in the educational system of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion. The implementation of a personally oriented approach in educational activities is directly dependent on the educational work in the dormitory. After all, the dormitory is a phenomenon of the social environment that has a great educational impact on the student, creates an objective basis for the formation of a fully and harmoniously developed person. Curators of academic groups contribute to the creation of a healthy moral and psychological climate in the dormitory, organize various educational activities and individual work with students. In the context of martial law, an important aspect is to conduct regular briefings on the need to comply with the rules of conduct during air raids and stay in shelters.

Thus, on March 22, 2024, on the occasion of the International Day Against Tuberculosis, in the dormitory No. 2 of KNUTD, Alla Kolodyazhna, Associate Professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design (DPESTD), curator, held a thematic conversation on the topic "Whether you will be healthy depends on you". In an interesting and accessible form of conversation and presentation, the students learned about the signs of tuberculosis and the rules for its prevention.

On March 26, 2024, Maria Bilyanska, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Associate Professor of the Department of Postgraduate Studies, and curator Vita Hryhorieva visited the student dormitory No. 2 of KNUTD. The teachers reminded students of the algorithm of actions for higher education students in the dormitory and at the University after the announcement of the Air-Raid Alarm signal.

As part of the national and patriotic education activities, Vita Anatoliivna and Maria Mykhailivna conducted a quiz with the students entitled "Do I Know Shevchenko?". The students recalled the life and creative path of the Great Kobzar, discovered another Shevchenko – Shevchenko the artist. They also delved into the spiritual heritage of the Great Kobzar and felt its relevance today.

On March 28, 2024, Natalia Ostapenko, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, and Alla Kolodyazhna, Deputy Dean for Educational Work, held an informal meeting with the students of the Faculty living in the dormitory No. 2 of KNUTD.

Natalia Valentynivna and Alla Volodymyrivna talked to the students, got acquainted with their current living problems, and listened to their suggestions for improving living conditions.

On April 16, 2024, students of the Faculty were involved in an art evening. The thematic event "Fashion and Art" was organized on the initiative of the curators of the Department of Fashion and Style Svitlana Lozenko, Marina Yatsenko, Tetiana Avramenko and Yana Mamchenko. The purpose of the art event was to discuss films and literature about fashion.

At the beginning of the event, the students together with the curators watched and discussed the film “Yves Saint Laurent” directed by Jalil Lesper (2014) about the period of professional formation of the world-famous designer and his work at the Dior Fashion House.

The curators told the students about the films that tell the biographies of world-famous designers: "The House of Gucci", “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace”, “Coco to Chanel”, “The Secrets of Lagerfeld”, and others.

The participants also discussed literature on fashion. It was noted that in recent years, many interesting biographical books have been translated into Ukrainian, namely: "Anna. A Biography", a biography of Vogue editor-in-chief Amy Odell, "A Mystery Called Lagerfeld"; "House of Gucci", "Coco Chanel", "Henri Guidel", etc.

The art evening was held in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere. At the end of the event, the participants recalled the music from the films.

On April 17, 2024, Olha Haranina, Head of the Department of Fashion Technology (DFT) and curators Antonina Babych and Victoria Kernesh, Associate Professors of the DFT, visited the KNUTD dormitory No. 2. In order to raise awareness of young people on health issues, household habits, hygiene and sanitation, they held a thematic conversation on the topic "Cleanliness and creativity of the home".

Taking care of the planet and preserving the environment starts with everyone, namely, with cleanliness and comfort in the room, your own home, the adjacent territory, the street, the park, etc. On April 19, 2024, curators Antonina Babych and Victoria Kernesh, associate professors of the DFT, held an environmental campaign in the dormitory No. 2. A variety of perennial flowers were planted in the flower beds, which will decorate the dormitory courtyard from early spring to late autumn, saturating the air with unique flower aromas and pleasing the eyes of the dormitory residents with colorful colors.

A dormitory is a second home for students, where they spend unforgettable years of their lives, so everyone tries to make it cozy and beautiful.

On April 23, 2024, the competent jury faced a difficult task – to determine the best among dozens of dormitory rooms where students of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion live. The jury consisted of Natalia Ostapenko, chairperson of the jury, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Alla Kolodyazhna, Deputy Dean for Educational Work, Vladyslav Kolesnyk, Natalia Vozniuk and Alina Mykytey, members of the student self-government of the dormitory No. 2.

The winning room was selected based on the following criteria: sanitary condition, artistic and aesthetic design, property safety, and compliance with the internal regulations by the room's residents.

After a short discussion, the committee unanimously decided to choose the winners:

I place - Room 37 (Olena Morhoch, Diana Pantiushenko, Valeria Molotkovska);

II place - Room 33 (Anastasia Shovkova, Daria Demchuk, Valeria Masiuk);

III place - Room 102 (Anastasia Stelmakh, Svitlana Schneider, Anastasia Bezuhla).

In general, the educational activity of a curator is no less important than his or her teaching or research activities, and in wartime, the importance of this component of a teacher's work increases significantly. Regular visits to the dormitory are an important part of the work of the academic group curator, the Department heads, and Dean's office management.

It's nice to see how independent living changes yesterday's students before our eyes, and how quickly they grow up!
