On April 30, 2024, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design hosted the traditional annual career event - Job Fair. The purpose of the event is to directly interact with employers and students, promote the employment of higher education students and graduates of KNUTD, increase their competitiveness in the labor market, establish and strengthen close ties and cooperation between business and education.

The event was opened by KNUTD Rector Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. Ivan Gryshchenko greeted the participants and guests of the event and emphasized the importance of supporting young people in today's difficult conditions, stressed the role of a strong connection between business and higher education, and spoke about the main priorities and activities of the University.

This year's event was held in a modern European format of business communication. The Job Fair was attended by more than 20 representatives of KNUTD partner companies, which have been providing successful professional opportunities for students and graduates for a long time. The students had a unique opportunity to communicate with employers, get acquainted with the activities of the most promising enterprises of Ukraine, which are ready to give a chance for a successful start and development of their future career.

The first to start working was the Design and Fashion Industry Platform, moderated by Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Design at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. 

Tetiana Izovit, President and Chairman of the Board of the Ukrlegprom Association, expressed her sincere words of congratulations and support to the students and graduates of KNUTD.

Our event was organized with the assistance and support of the Kyiv City Employment Center. Tamara Nazarok, a leading career guidance specialist of the Career Development Department of the Social Services Department of the Kyiv City Employment Center, welcomed the participants and guests of the Job Fair-2024, told them about the training programs and briefly informed them about the vacancies and other services provided by the KCEC.

Natalia Romanova, Head of Production and Sales at Prime Shoes LLC, spoke about the domestic enterprise specializing in the manufacture of luxury footwear for men and women of various styles for all seasons, and noted that today KNUTD graduates are potential and desirable future personnel for their production.

Among the speakers of the platform were: Bohdan Kass, director and creative designer of the KASS fashion brand; Olha Lysenko, director of the Ukrainian-Hungarian company Gulliver International LLC; Yana Malyanka, director of the Banana Bunch Group campaigns. A project to support young artists in the field of industrial design was presented by Yevheniia Molozhava, representative of Advatoria LLC. Ilona Mukalova invited students and graduates of KNUTD to get their first professional experience at the Zadum creative workshop.

Olha Tatarinova, HR Director of TK-HAB LLC, and Mykhailo Kucherenko, Director of Surikat LLC, gave practical advice on how to achieve practical success in the fashion industry to the students and graduates of KNUTD.

The event continued with the Information Systems, Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies Platform moderated by Ihor Panasіuk, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies of KNUTD.

Among the speakers of the platform were: Andrii Orobchenko, Head of CAD Systems Department at Technopolis Engineering Company, and Oleksandr Kheylomskyi, Deputy Director of INDAR PrJSC, a company with over 20 years of experience in research and production of medicines with a full technological cycle of genetically engineered insulin production - from substance to finished dosage forms.

Mykola Fedko, CEO of Farmkhim LLC (the only CIS producer of mebhydrolin (a substance for the production of diazoline), noted that even in this difficult time, modern youth continues to prove themselves. He spoke about his company and motivated his choice of this employer.

Natalia Ryzhykova, specialist of the Human Resources Directorate of PJSC National Energy Company Ukrenergo, made a presentation of the company, which is one of the key participants in the electricity market and performs the functions of a settlement administrator, as well as manages the work of the balancing electricity market, and also emphasized the company's interest in KNUTD graduates.

Among the speakers of the Second Platform were: Roman Kurylenko, Employer and Brand Specialist at SoftServe; Iryna Voskresk, Senior Recruitment and Adaptation Specialist at the HR Department of JSC Farmak; specialists of the Recruitment and Adaptation Department of VENTS; Yulia Kharchenko, Specialist of the Recruitment, Adaptation and Development Group at COSTAL Ukraine LLC.

Oleh Lozovyi, General Director of the Polygreen Plant of the BIOSPHERE Corporation, noted the importance of not only the manufacturing but also the processing industry, and that graduates of KNUTD (in particular, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering) are in great demand at their company.

The moderator of the III Platform «Business Education and Technology» was Oleksandra Olshanska, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, Doctor of Economics, Professor.

Alisa Stepanian, FUIB branch manager, together with a colleague, gave useful advice on financial literacy to students of economic specialties.

Among the speakers of the Third Platform were representatives of business and the agricultural sector, in particular: Ennan Ashirov, Director of FAV KYIV LLC; Amet Lumanov, Director of OKSHINA LLC; Serhiy Kopa, Director of Discorb LLC. 

The presentation by Anton Veklenko, UAV piloting instructor and co-founder of the Global Drone Academy, was very exciting and spectacular. He, along with Roman Korzh, the commander of the aerial reconnaissance unit of the «Mriya» battalion, PhD in Economics, and Yuriy Havrylechko, PhD in Public Administration, a certified graduate of the course «Aerial Reconnaissance with Civilian Copters», presented the UAV operator training program to the students and graduates.

Some students even received valuable gifts from our speakers. 

We hope that all the visitors received a lot of interesting and useful information that will help them develop their careers and adapt to the labor market. And direct contact with employers will encourage action and new creative achievements.

After working on the platforms, the students had the opportunity to communicate and get employers' contacts, as well as get answers to their basic questions in an informal setting.

Each Platform was continued at additional locations, where master classes, webinars and seminars with stakeholders were held.

We are confident that the Job Fair provided an opportunity for applicants and graduates of KNUTD to effectively communicate with employers to understand the benefits of the chosen educational and professional program, see the prospects of their professional activities, assess the skills necessary for work, and understand the real needs of the labor market.
