In early May, at the initiative of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, a large-scale career guidance event for schoolchildren and students, “Economics Day at KNUTD”, was held at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. The main idea of the event was to present the economic specialties of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, acquaint school and college students with the significant achievements and history of the University, give them the opportunity to see everything, so to speak, from the inside – modern specialised educational and research laboratories and classrooms, visit the University’s museums and communicate with teachers and students.

“Economics Day at KNUTD” began with a tour of the University for more than 220 students from 15 Kyiv schools who visited our University with their teachers at the invitation of the Faculty of Management and Business Design.

It is worth noting that the preparation and holding of the event took place with the assistance and support of the Rector of the University, Academician Ivan Gryshchenko, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, and Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation Volodymyr Statsenko. Therefore, the event was held at a high organisational level and was provided with all the necessary technical equipment. In the assembly hall of the first building, two large screens showed videos about the University and the Faculty of Management and Business Design. Our guests had the opportunity to talk and take pictures with teachers and students in the photo zone, as well as enjoy hot drinks and sweets in the lobby of the assembly hall before the event.

The programme of the career guidance event “Economics Day at KNUTD” included an introduction to the history and current achievements of the University and the Faculty, presentation of the departments, leading teachers and researchers, and familiarisation with the specialities and educational programmes of the Faculty.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, Professor Oleksandra Olshanska, made an introductory speech and greeted the guests of the event at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. She told the audience about the glorious history of the University and the significant achievements of its Faculty. In her speech, the Dean drew attention to the fact that the staff of the Faculty of Management and Business Design is implementing the ERASMUS+ grant project ‘International Network of Virtual Business Hubs’ VEHUB4YOU, which provides for the creation of a network of more than 40 youth business hubs in Ukraine, and invited the audience to join this initiative.

After that, the Dean invited the heads of the departments to present their specialities and educational programmes. Each department prepared its own presentations, which were extremely interesting, creative and dynamic.

And then the festive concert began. The students of the Faculty of Management and Business Design prepared a real surprise for the guests, their performances were bright and unforgettable and were very much appreciated by all those present.
